Hiya! The name is Dom, though I go by Draco or Ray on all things online (I mainly prefer those over my real, full name). My pronouns are she/her. I am currently a senior attending Colorado State University. I am studying Zoology and currently have a General Associates Degree. At the moment, I am working on my Bachelors.

So some things about me. I love birds! They are my life and what give me a purpose in this confusing and harsh world. I have have pet birds for many, many years and currently have a Jenday Conure named Citta (pronounced cheetah. I know, I didn't name her) that I adopted nearly 10 years ago. She is my everything and you should see photos of her at some points!

I have also volunteered and interned with a multitude of birds professionally for about five years now. My first volunteer work was at Bird Treatment and Learning Center in Anchorage, Alaska. I was there for about a year and worked with a little bit of everything. I namely did husbandry (cleaning). After that, I volunteered at the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program in Fort Collins, Colorado and still currently do. I am an intern there, as well as a volunteer that assists with rehabilitation and release of injured raptors. I also help our permanently disabled educational ambassadors and help educate the public about these amazing animals! The bird in my profile picture is a Ferruginous Hawk that is not releasable to the wild. She is NOT a pet!!!!! If you want to hear her story, message me sometime and I'll tell it!
Finally, in the summer of 2018, I was a fellow (basically an intern) at the Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward, Alaska. There I worked with seabirds, namely puffins. So in some, I love birds and it's what I want to do for the rest of my life.

Okay, now to the artsy stuff.

My main focus of art is photography. Within photography, I focus almost sorely on animal photography. Most of my photos come from facilities/not wild animals. I do not have a large enough lens to take many photos of wild animals, thus I do not intrude on wild animals' space. Photography is a hobby for me, and thus I cannot afford a better lens for the time being. I have strong opinions of photographers intruding on wildlife's space for a nice photo.
Anyways, that is not the only form of art I do. I also do digital art, though this is something I am still working on and need a lot of improvement with. As such, most of my art on here will be photography.
